It's funny how many times people find out we're in a 1920s vintage jazz band and they comment, "Oh, we should have a roaring 20s party and have you play!" It's always with such excitement, too.
So, I'm just writing a post to let you know that it's what we do all the time.
If you're looking for live music for your roaring 20s party coming up, live music will certainly step it up a notch.
Imagine your guests coming to your party all dressed to the nines in their fancy clothes that they have been dying to wear. They get to the party and see the band dressed in festive costumes from the 20s and they hear the upbeat music. They can't help but start dancing. They know it's going to be a fun party!
Instantly, we transport the whole party into a roaring 20s gala. It's so much fun. If you've ever been to a party like this, you know what I'm talking about.
The room is filled with so much energy and everyone can't wait to break into the Charleston or Lindy Hop.
Your guests will be talking about it for years to come. It might even be one of the best times of their lives.
And, it is way easier than you think it will be. The band creates the mood. The guests furnish their own costumes (which is really half the fun, anyway). All you have to do is get a few classy snacks and provide a place to gather.
We recommend booking the band first, since our schedule is limited. Once you have it set, you're ready to plan and have fun anticipating the big day!
We show up early and set up in time to have the sound just right. We bring all of our own equipment, so you only have to provide power and a place to play. It could be inside or outdoors (weather permitting).
And, if budget is a concern, you could always charge a cover fee to help offset the cost. (It's not uncommon for people to charge a small fee for a house concert or theme party). And, it makes it more likely they'll show up if they've already reserved a spot.
So, if you're thinking of your next party and wondering how to get people to put on the ritz and think of you as the cat's meow, look no further. Hire the Do Lollies to play live music and make it a roaring 20s party!
