It may seem early to be thinking about Christmas, but if you're planning a Christmas party or Christmas fair, you will want to be thinking of live music right away. We're already starting to book Christmas art shows, bazarres, parties, and craft fairs.
Besides growing up with a December birthday, Christmas has always been my favorite time of year. I love the nostalgia of the Christmas season. I love remembering Christ's birth, thinking of how that little baby changed the world. I love the hope that it brings for peace on earth and goodwill toward men. Especially when things seem a little less than peaceful.
Now, more than ever, it's great to embrace the music of years gone by with every chance we get. We see a lot of AI in the music business. Whether it's in songwriting, video creation, posters, or whatever. While we have gone down that road and relied on AI for many of our tasks in the past, lately I'm feeling a pull toward humanity and showing up as we really are. I love dressing vintage every chance I get. We play live music with real interaction between each other and the audience. We get to know the crowd and stick around to talk to people during our breaks.
After all, the more connections we have with each other, the better our lives become.
And, this year, we're working on some fantastic Christmas tunes that will bring our usual vintage jazz flare to any Christmas party or vintage craft show that's looking for live music and that special magic that's created when you see people dressed in full costume and singing the songs of Christmas from long ago.
Last year, we played some fun songs at the Light the World event in Boise. Here's a video from that gig. It was tons of fun and hopefully it brings you as much joy as it did for us.
We're already getting requests for this winter. And with our limited gig schedule, it will fill up fast.
